Where it's used

UV DTF transfer is a label technology developed for hard surfaces that cannot be printed directly. Glass jars and bottles, metal tins, tumblers and mugs, phone cases, wood and acrylic items, shop windows and device housings are where it is applied most.

Once the label bonds to the surface the carrier film lifts away and the print looks as though it was applied straight onto the product. For small producers its value is enabling short, personalised runs without bespoke manufacturing: a jar producer can realistically print a different label for every product group.

Questions about UV DTF Transfer Print

Which surfaces does it not work on?

It is made for hard, smooth surfaces and does not perform as expected on fabric or flexible materials — for textiles, see the woven and satin label group. Adhesion also weakens on very rough or oily surfaces.

Does the label come off if it gets wet?

The coating is built to withstand everyday contact with water, which is why it is common on jars, bottles and mugs. If your product goes through something harsher such as a dishwasher cycle, tell us upfront and we will assess suitability together.

Can we apply the labels ourselves?

Yes, application needs no special equipment: press the label onto the surface and lift the carrier film. We suggest a first attempt on a spare item, since positioning is the only part that takes a little practice.
